After a very long hiatus from site updates here we are:
4/10/2018 Adjusting the site so it's more mobile responsive/friendly. Each page has to be worked on so be patient. Hope everyone likes the new look. I don't mind getting emails so if someone is reading this (don't want bots spamming) and can figure out how to put the word webmaster in from of the site name along with the approiate thingy inbetween you are welcome to contact me.

started making some changes to the site. Fixing/removing broken links and putting more ads on the site to hopefully get it to maybe at least pay for itself again LOL. The bandwidth this site consumes is crazy especially for the amount of revenue it now generates. However, I didn't do it for the money otherwise it would have been sold long ago and I'm sure made into someones monetized cash cow with little regard for the data that's currently on the site. Then again another reason it's not generating much of anything might be the fact that I haven't done anything to the site in (I'm embarrased to say) a very long time.
I started the site in 2003 with the hopes of becoming a place people could come to for Camaro information. Real Camaro information and not someones idea of what they "had" years ago. Couple quick examples being an all original factory First Gen. SS Camaro with a 327 engine. That I'm so sorry to say no matter how many they thought they had back in the day never ever happened. Or maybe an all original factory early '70's Camaro with a split bumper (also known as an RS) with the parking lights below the bumper. That again never ever happened. I could go on and on so sorry for getting off on a tangent ... anyway at that time I allowed visitors to email me questions. Over time that became more of a job than the real job I had. Not only that but the questions all seemed to be the same ones over and over again hence the FAQ section but alas that didn't do much to slow down the questions. While the site was getting way more traffic than I ever thought it would it was also taking up too much of my time in the process. Something had to give and unfortunately it was this site.
Around August of 2006 I was very excited to announce the Camaro would be coming back but that turned out to be good and bad. Good in that there will be a new Camaro but bad in that now there's a ton of new Camaro sites monetized to hell and back and I just didn't have the time to devote to updating the site with any fifth gen Camaro information. I do plan on putting fifth gen Camaro info on the site at some point though. I know don't hold your breath lol.
Along about 2014 I moved the site to a different hosting sevice and I can see now that I didn't do such a good job of getting everything moved over. I think some of the problems was in going from a Windows ASP site to a Linux/Unix PHP site (yes this site is actually running the ASP files you see in the links as PHP files yay for .htaccess). I did that because I didn't want to lose what search rankings I had left. Basically most of the stuff that stopped working was because it was an ASP script that couldn't be easily (or at all) converted to PHP. Some things I'm in the process of removing link Vanity Plates, Site Search and Links. In doing this I noticed the only links that were still working were my sites anyway. I may bring back a site search feature but vanity plates just needed to go.
